I have some crushed glass at AW which works for etching glass, granite and wood. Also for cleaning metal.
 
Someone else had walnut shells, not sure what they would be for...

Most of the vinyl scraps would work for sandblasting with glass, but not with walnut shells. Can be cut on the [[Vinyl Cutter]]

Our vinyl cutter can't cut it in its current setup, but it's rubber and can be cut on the laser.

We have access to a Sand blaster as part of our membership at North Forge Fabrication Lab. The tool runs abrasives like crushed glass or walnut shells against a workpiece. It can be used to etch glass or expose wood grain, for example in Masked Sandblasting.
