3D scanning uses a 3D scanner such as the Calibry 3d Scanner to generate a point cloud and .STL model of an object. This model can then be used in Reverse Engineering (e.g. using Geomagics DesignX software) and Prototyping and Integration of the model into a project. We are able to CNC Machine wood and some other materials through our membership at North Forge Fabrication Lab.

Our primary tool is the ShopBot. Sometimes Laser Cutting is a preferrable alternative to CNC Machining.
