• 2023-10-12 - site visit b cause it didn't work again, we unplugged and moved it around. Changed power supply on suspicion, old one seemed to work but was quite low power, checked SD card, was fine.
• 2023-04-14 - site visit because there intermittently was no sound. USB port on the circuit board has fault, hardwired the USB cable in
• 2022-11-04 - site visit to check on failure, found that USB cable had been bent to secure it, set it up differently with some strain relief and it worked
• 2022-11-03 - Email from Meredith that display failed. details to come. Asked them to reboot and check cable connections

• 2023-09-20ish - board and SD card were dead, replace board with same-ish and SD card as well
• 2022-11-03 - Email from Meredith that display failed again. details to come. Asked them to reboot and check cable connections
• 2022-spring-ish - display stopped working; didn't document problem then but Mark remembers it being a failed sd card.

• 2023-06-22 - email: the panel is 30” x 20”, and the inside of the trunk is 32” x 22”, so you have an inch of clearance all around, if that helps setting up the crank.
• 2023-06-earlier - David delivered the panel and the cranks arrived
• 2023-05-20 - David emailed in " Categories for Selkirk Marine Kiosk" that they approved the electronics; he was hoping for dimensions of crank - couldn't give because we just ordered it, so said we would drill the hole.

• 2023-04-07 - there is confusion about what kind of light and we need to get back to David.

• 2023-07-01 - emailed for follow-up, only because it almost sounded like the other guys had difficulties so he might want replacement.

The four computers would hook up to the same server. There are to be eight slideshows (info shows, or quizzes), four on each computer, with a total of about 220 slides altogether, all of which will have images, and maybe 20 will have links to youtube videos (would this be a problem for a pi, or could the videos be downloaded onto the pi?). I’ve attached a sample draft slide and a link to an early experiment about how this might work. https://nihm.ca/?da_image=1345  Password is 1234. I’ve been developing the text and images, and haven’t had much involvement in the web side. They were having some problems, and I may have suggested a standalone with a pi.  In any case, it would be much better if you spoke directly to them about their options, and they might ask you to help set it up. • 2023-05-20 - ... would you be interested in talking to Gimil’s Lake Winnipeg Visitor Centre about raspberry pi’s? I’ve been developing some interactive quizzes on Lake Winnipeg and the watershed that would be offered on computers (concept attached). They have a local person taking my material and putting it in a web format. They were originally going to run it through their website, but are now wondering if it would work better as a on a raspberry pi (sound familiar?).

Anyway, if you’re interested in advising them, I’ll pass on your contact info, and suggest they get in touch.
